Klondike Pete's History:

Klondike Pete's originated in Alaska in the early forties, when a roommate of Ruth Vig was given a recipe for chicken baked in a paper bag. Ruth married Dutch Preston and they discovered that it was great as a BBQ Basting Sauce on chicken and ribs. For years friends raved about it and eventually motivated Peter Preston to make it available.

Klondike Pete has been born a fictional character to keep our friends informed of our travels in the world of BBQ. Klondike Pete and his cooking buddy JR started cooking on the KCBS circuit under the team name JR & Klondike.
